Pattern testing for Sotak Handmade….

I adore Shweshwe fabrics. They are very old designs now only made in a factory in the Cape – they used to be made in a mill in Wigan which is where we now live, so I have a special affinity with them, and they remind me of South Africa.
This beauty has been in my stash since our last visit to SA a few years ago and I immediately thought of this project when @sotakhandmade asked me to pattern test a new item for her range.
I paired it with a bit of denim and I adore the result.
This was a gift for a special lady from South Africa and she is thrilled with it. When the pattern is released I will share some more pictures.
