Hand painted to perfection…..

No-one really thought my mom would retire gracefully when she turned 70ish, but we thought she would potter around the garden and go touring for at least a few years!
NOPE!!! Instead she has started a new business selling beautifully hand painted and hand crafted homewares.
The company is HiDarl Ltd. and started firstly trading on eBay, and soon via their new commerce website.
It was certainly no hardship supporting her because the products she imports from Africa and sells are all gorgeous! The biggest issue I had was selecting only one item but eventually I decided on a table voile – a commonly used item in most South African homes because otherwise your food would be carried off by the pesky flies. Most of my table nets are simply that, a net or tulle from a curtaining shop;this one is very special, with hand painted agapanthus on a lovely soft voile.

…and what a wonderful surprise when another parcel arrived with a matching tray cloth, tea cosy and tray voile…for my birthday this week!

Thank you Momsie for the beautiful products and making employment opportunities for the lovely talented people in Africa…you are a star. Enjoy your ‘retirement’ project! 😄😄

  1. Oh wow… what a gorgeous table set. Do you have a link to their website? I’m desperate to see.

    • The products are really beautiful. Mom is posted new items each day onto the eBay shop….
I will let you all know when the website shop goes live as well. There are lovely things for gifts coming for Christmas too. I am so excited for her 🙂

      • Thank you.
