It’s a clean sweep…..

Last night we held the first of our classes teaching how easy (and fun) it is to be more self sufficient and save a lot of money at the same time.
Our class was very well attended by a lovely group of people all interested in making their own laundry detergent.
We started out with the essentials – tea, cake and biscuits!
Then we had a quick discussion about the benefits of making your own detergent and how it can cost anywhere from 15 – 40 pence per load for shop bought but only 2 pence per load for homemade laundry detergent – that should be incentive enough.

The whole process is incredibly easy – in fact much quicker than getting to the shops and buying it!
Here is our little group diligently working away in the kitchen…..

And here are the results….

Everyone went home with a batch of detergent for around 60 wash loads; and in a lovely bottle.
I had so much fun meeting new people and sharing some new life skills.

Now I need to organise another course for anyone that missed out, and start planning our handmade soap course.
