The mad hatter….

Hats in all shapes, shades and sizes….

 I managed to make a crochet hat for each of 3 sons, 1 grandson and hubby this last week.  They are so simple using only one stitch and going round and round until you have the required length.  Remember that the thinner the thread and needle the more stitches and the longer it takes. 

I changed the styles to suit each of them, with roll edges, turn-ups, ear flaps and pompoms.                


 Try the following websites for some great free pattern ideas –  Lion yarn, Free crochet; crochet pattern central.  Now get creative – I have some lovely red wool that is destined to be a pointy hat scarf for myself – who knows, I may post a picture if it turns out well.
